The long sandy beach or Gardenos is found at the SouthEastern coast of the island, at a distance of 41 kilometers southern to the town of Corfu and 9 kilometers southeastern to Argyrades. The area around is wonderful, wild nature and a small scenic brook with fresh cool water. Some excellent traditional taverns offer gorgeous food and dishes of the Greek kitchen. You will enjoy swimming at the long beach with the golden sand and the crystal clear blue water, within a scenic and peaceful environment. A few tavernas / restaurants can be found in area, famous for their fresh fish serving and local specialties and lobsters. Access from the capital (Kerkyra) is easy by rented or private car and motorbikes. The nearest famous villages is Lefkimmi, Argirades, Kavos, Marathias and Agios Georgios.
