Vitalades counts 530 inhabitants. It is a quiet, small village, like
most of the villages of southern Corfu, totally unchanged from tourism and cosmopolitan life. Inhabitants' major occupation is fishing, whose daily catch is served at the traditional fish tavernas of Gardenos beach. Scattered in the small village's square are some traditional
'Kafeneia
' and the striking beauty of Saint Apostolon church, where every summer in the 29 of June, name-day of Aghii Apostoli, great feast takes place. Just 500 m. outside Vitalades village you can find the monastery of Saint Panteleimon, built in 15th century and a second important place for the feast of 27 of July, during which the inhabitants and the visitors have a wild time.
Perivoli is a small traditional village in the south, built along the road to Lefkimni. The church of the village, dedicated to Aghii Saranta has frescoes dating from 1704. Roads lead from Perivoli to Santa Barbara beach , a very extensive beach with all the features of these southern shores of Corfu: fine sand and shallow water
