We, my wife and me, stood 11 nights there in a standard room with a sea view. In fact, from our balcony and through the large room window we enjoyed an admirable scenery composed by a part of the hotel's nitty garden, a part of one of two hotel beaches, which were both very well equipped, sandy and clean, a large space of water, two little islands just in front, a piece of Corfu's coast on the right and distant mountains of continental Greece. I fact, one may look at this panorama forever: every time the light changes, so does the landscape. Sunrises were exciting there.

The hotel Kontokali Bay Hotel was busy, many tourists coming and going every hour, music playing and shows going on at the seaside bar by nights, but the room remained always calm and quiet, offering a good rest after a long early September day. The weather was just nice: up to 30 degrees centigrade in the noon, about 20 at night. We didn't turn on the room AC even a single time! Kontokali Bayhotel and its spacious shady garden were perfectly clean, and everybody in the hotel, all it's staff, were very friendly and helpful

We had booked a half-board stay, although it was rather unusual for us: we prefer BB as a rule.
The food was OK, although we preferred to dine late in the evening in an a-la-carte restaurant, which offered a really high quality, mostly pan-European food. BTW, we hired a motorboat few times at the hotel's own water sport facility and enjoyed the genuine Greek cuisine a few miles away from Kontokali in the Agni Tavern located at one of the beaches to the north which we'de like to recommend you as well. The Greek food there is definitely worth tasting.

We'de like also to stress again the friendliness of the Kontokali Bay hotel staff, of which we especially distinguish Mr.Lambros, a sous-maitre, who is a really very pleasant and sympathic person. Many thanks to him for the great job he does. We have to add to this few more fine features: a jewllery shop on the ground floor full of really gallant thingies, free WiFi, a SPA facility that we found amasingly effective, etc. And, for sure, Corfu islanditself is a place one must see!
