This was our third visit to Corfu, but first at Kontokali Bay hotel. We stayed for 1 week 13-20 June 2007 and have to say it was a truly memorable experience. We had paid extra for half-board and a sea view.....well worth the additional cost, but the garden views looking towards Gouvia Marina are perfectly adequate.
Service was excellent, and the choice of food, both at breakfast and evening dinner was amazing not only in choice but also the quality. My wife is a vegetarian, and was delighted with the choice of fruit, salads and "vegy" dishes on offer.

A bottle of local wine was in our room on arrival together with bathrobes and slippers, and a bottle of water was left each day.
The view from the hotel was spectacular looking seawards towards Corfu Town and accross to Albania and /Greece.
Spectacular sunrises more than made up for loss of sunset on this side of the island. Staff were very friendly and most obliging, whatever the request. We would have wished for a little more Greek style cooking, but we accept that all nationalities have to be catered for, when on holiday. Finally, the newly opened Spa is a must........just spoil yourself and try one of the many treatments available, we both did and believe me, my very first back massage was wonderfully relaxing and eased my back problem. Wouldy recommend this hotel and we will certainly be booking in at the Kontokali again next year.
