We were here for 2 weeks in september 2010 after some great reviews on Trip Advisor. I would agree with most of the reviews. Elani who I think is the owner emailed a photo of the shower and promised us a ground floor apartment as my wife is slightly disabled.She welcomed us when we arrived,gave us a nice leaving present and also arranged for us to share a taxi to the airport which meant it only cost 10 euros.
The staff were great from the cleaners to Glenys at the pool bar. Also in the evening at the restaurant we were well looked after by Babis (who is a great character)and Belinda..

The food in the restaurant(it was outside as it was still quite hot)was great and we ate there most evenings. We tried 3 or 4 other places for evening meals but none compared with Spiti Prifti for either quality or price of food and wine.One that was recommended was called Vergina (watch how you pronounce it!) but I didn't think it was anything special. The only downside of the pool area which has been mentioned in previous reviews was noise from the many cars and motor bikes with outsize exhausts revving up at the lights just a few yards away

Still it didn't keep us away as the gardens are lovely and the pool very refreshing. Nothing to do with the hotel but we did get quite a few mosquito bites but got them under control with anti histamine. We went on a BBQ cruise and hired a car for a few days and toured the island. The beach area although it is shingle is in a beautiful setting with the bay and the mountains in the background. The weather in the middle of September was great,about 27 degrees most days and only a couple of days with cloud and rain.Another good holiday helped by information from Trip Advisor!
