We have been to Corfu 10 times over the years 9 of which were spent in Sidari we stayed in various apts.however we always ended up using the facilites of the Aphrodite Hotel Why: Given the location, centre of Sidari, Right on the beach,lovely swimming pool with kiddies paddling area, sunbeds/umbrellas NO CHARGE, safe beach/sea you have to walk out approx.10mtrs.before the depth reaches 1mtr,(great for small children and non swimmers) A new lift has been installed.(great) We eventually started staying in the hotel,(package hol.) however we now book our room with the owners and arrange our own flights.If required they will book a taxi from/to the airport.we have seen many changes over the years, however the one thing that has not changed is the friendliness of the owners or the entire staff, they are customer orientated,nothing to much trouble,they make the holiday.We booked for Sept.09 before we left 02-06-08.Would we reconmend Akti Aphrodite? Have already done so,with success. Great Staff,Great Location, Great Hotel.

I have just returned from my first holiday to Sidari... There is only one word that can describe the Atki Aphrodite.... Fabulous!!! The moment I walked in, I was welcomed with open arms... and a huge smile :) I went with my friend Katie, her 15 year old daughter and her pal. The Reception ladies are lovely... Erica and Lesley can't do enough for you. Yiannis and Holly who work on the bar in the evening are two of the nicest people I have ever met, and Yiannis makes cracking coctails... Frozen Strawberry Dacquiri, made just how you like it.... The rooms are bright and clean, with free air conditioning, Television AND a fridge!!
The rooms are cleaned to a high standard daily... One day I slept in till 2pm, and certainly didnt expect my room to be cleaned, but on return to my room, it was spotless. The pool is right on Sidari beach, with sun loungers, umbrella's, and a wicked pool bar serving lovely snacks throughout the day.. I'd recommend the chicken club sandwich... yummy... Sidari itself is full of fun, fluffy people, always ready with a smile... suitable for singletons, families, couples and groups. The Garden Bar at "ICE" is a lovely venue... expect real friendly, cheeky banter from the barmen! Most of my evenings were spent in the "Eye Q Bar" sampling their excellent coctails served by the cutest barman. I made true friends while staying at Akti Aphrodite hotel, both staff and guests alike and was touched when everyone came outside to wave us goodbye. I was so sorry to leave, but have already booked a room ready for next year :) A truly excellent holiday, with great weather, excellent service and lovely people!!!

My wife and myself have just returned from our third visit to the akti aphrodite in sidari, it is a lovely family run hotel, ably managed by Erika and Yianni. The staff at the hotel and the management go out of their way to make your holiday as comfortable and as pleasant as possible. The service is second to non and the "cant do enough for you" attitude is mirrored by every member of staff, the room are comfortable and very clean, as is the pool and the surrounding area, and with the beach being just 20 metres from the pool the setting could not be better. Akti Aphrodite is situated in the heart of Sidari, but is just far enough away from the loud music bars just down the road if you fancy a quiet night. All in all if you are looking for a nice family run independant hotel look no further than the akti aphrodite, it truly is a brilliant hotel and we cannot wait to visit them all again. Book direct with the hotel for good rates.
