With a private peaceful relaxing swimming pool a lovely garden and patio, this very good standard property is ideal for a break. Marilena Studios in Paleokastritsa, situated close to the main road, within a couple of minutes walk from the nearest super market, tavernas, bars and the bus station.
The very well maintained spacious studios are pine firnished, with twin beds, kitchenette, shower and w.c. Two of the apartments have a double bedroom and a twin bedded room, and also two of them have extra sofa beds suitable for an extra person. We can book the transfer from and to the airpor uppon request. An ideal place for families and couples of all ages.

Have been to Paleokatstirsa a number of time I already knew that this is the most pictureque part of the Island, Views from the close by Lakones village is by far the best way to view the hole area from above, it's quite a hike so a car i find would be advisable.
Marilena Studios and Aapartments are fully euqipped with everything you need for a great, relaxed self catering holiday. The studio's are family fun, quiet and very friendly, The lady who cleaned the apartments on a daily basis wa svery nice and pleasant and had a smile every time we saw her, plus she did a great job in cleaning, the aparmtents where always spotless. The apartments have two nice local Tavernas, with a supermarket and bus stop on the doorstep. The Corfu weather in late sepetember can be a littl ehit and miss but we landed lucky, arriving on the 20th Sepetmeber we have a run of 4 days of perfect sunshine, we had one day of rain and it was a ful day and heavy rain and thunder, after though returning to the sun again. September in Paleo is wasp season, apparently somthing to do with the Grapes from the wine makes vinyards attract them and there are litteraly thousands which made it a little hard to eat outside on nice days without being bothered by wasps. Also it becamne apparent very early that mosquitos are rife at this time of year, I was bit more than once every single day, so take lots of lotions, bite cream and plug ins. On the whole paleokastritsa in my opinion is a fantastic part of the island, the studis/apartments are ideal, clean and a great place to stay, I would not hesitate in recommending Marilena Studios and Apartments.

We have spent one week in Marilena Studios and were more than inspired by the friendliness of Eleni and her family, the host of Marilena. She told us everything we need to know about Korfu's places of interest, its traditional restaurants and its best beaches and was always attentive and caring to anything we might need. The apartments were spatious and very clean. Bedlinen and towels were changed regularly according to our needs. The rooms were tidied up on a daily base. The surroundings were very calm. In summary the price performance ratio couldn't be better. You pay a good price and get more than you could expect!!! The best choice in Paleokastritsa / Korfu!!!

I won't repeat the previous comments about cleanliness and quality of service. Suffice to say that the place is spotless and superbly maintained. Marilena Apartments located "out of town" (Paleo is a series of bays but this place is located in one of the outer bays) so it is
a walk (around 2.5Km) into the centre of Paleo and some of the walk is on quite narrow and unlit roads. There is a bus stop right outside, which takes you to Corfu Town (costs a couple of Euros and takes 25 minutes). It's also very convenient for supermarkets and eating places. Marilena Studios / Apartments have a nice pool and a large area to sunbathe. The pool is not suitable for swimming (too shallow). The hotel also provides (free) wi-fi, which worked well and worked fast. Because the hotel is out of town, it is very quiet so your sunbathing (and sleep) will not be ruined by noise. Speaking of sleep, the beds are superb. Very firm. I slept well without the usual backaches that come with soft beds. The rooms are small but well equipped. The bathroom is spotless with an excellent shower (with hot water at all times of the day). There is a bar with Sky TV close by and the apartments is located near a nice path to Lakones, which is a lovely walk.
We visited in October and the weather was pretty poor. So we hired a car, which was cheaper than I could find online)and visited other parts of Corfu (lots of nice drives). At this time of the year there are lots of insects (flies, wasps and mozzies) so take some repellent and spray. We previously visited in June when insects were not an issue. Overall, Marilena Studios are very good and great value for money.

we had been looking for ages for a nice and affordable holiday accomodation in Greece when we found this one on the internet.
I can totally recommend Marilena Studios, the service was really good, we were picked up from the airport directly and teh rooms are cleaned every day. The hosts are very nice people. The room and the bathroom were small but that doesnt really matter as you have a big balcony and the weather was too good to be inside anyway! The airconditioner was very helpful and the room nicely furnished and very clean. The place was very quite apart from occasional (nice) music from the typically greek restaurants close by. The pool is very nice as well as the close beaches and the mountains, to hikers Id resommend to climb the hill to Lakones and Angelockstro, beautiful views! Many offers for tourists are made, boat trips for example which I can also recommend. There are litlle shops in walking distance and the busstop to Corfu-town which lies aproximately 20 minutes from the accomodation is right in front of the studios. we had a lovely holiday!

This was our first visit to Palaeokastritsa, Corfu. The area is beautiful, we could not have chosen a better place to spend a two week holiday. The Marilena Apartments / studios are brilliant. We booked with Monarch and had a spacious 2-bedroomed apartment with views over the mountains. The lady who cleans the apartment works really hard and keeps them spotlessly clean. Also the gardens and pool area are looked after to a very high standard. On some days we had the pool to ourselves it was like having your own private pool. The bathroom was superb, finished to a very high standard. Beds were a little hard but you cannot have everything. Well done to Helena and all her staff! Palaeokastritsa was very quite during our stay, last week of June and first week of July. The locals said that it has been very quite this year. There are many good restaurants in the the area choose from. We used Oasis retaurant across the road, the food was brilliant and the staff were excellent. You must try their lamb stifado! Also Spiros's restaurant is really good, the staff there are also very friendly.
You are spoilt for choice for eating out. We walked up the mountain to the village of Lakones, which is a lovely old greek village with stunning views over the bays. The walk is about 45 mins to an hour (depending how fit you are) on the old track. Whilst in Lakones go up to Dolce's cafe (the old bakery) for the best views and lovely food. It is quite a long walk into Paleo but it is a nice walk with lovely views of the bay. The boat trips are very expensive for just 35mins, about 10 euros. We hired a boat for the day which was well worth it. I would definately go back in Paleokastritsa and to Marilena Apartments / Studios, all in all it was a very chilled out holiday. Highly recommended
