I stayed in Pantokrator hotel in Corfu 2 weeks in september 2010 in a "luxury" room.
The extra cost for this rooms are worth because they are bigger, nicer and more comfortable (most comfortable bed I had in Greece for these last 15 years!) than the standard rooms. The atmosphere in the hotel is pleasantly calm as the rooms are spread in 6 levels in a large location in the foot of mount Pantokrator. Very pleasant lounge bar with panoramic view on the bay with Corfu town at the other end! The only thing that could be improved is the food variety (buffet!).

The pool is somewhat small but I prefer anyway to swim in the nice beach about 400m (10 min walk) away and all the others in the surrundings (Agni, Cerasia and Dassia) . Pantokrator hotel is anyway above greek average (luxury rooms!) but you must pay little more too. The service was very good and friendly . There is even a friendly shuttle from the main road in the day and from the reception in the evening to your room and you don't have to carry your luggage when you arrive or leave the hotel. We arrived in the morning at 10:00 and received immediately a room (very sympathic receptionist!). Barbati is a calm small quite recent village with no special charm but nicely located to visit the most beautiful landsacpe and beaches of nothern Corfu. For this you must invest some money in a car or scooter as the island is not that small and buses not regular.
