Just returned from a 2 week stay at the Paleo Inn. I have got to say we did not get off to the best of starts as we were put in room 102 which is no more than a match box. We could not do anything about it as arrived at 2.30 am in the early hours. However when we approached the receptionist Katy the next morning we were assured we would be moved although we would have to wait 4 days. The staff and ambience of this little place made all the frustration disappear and we were moved to room 211 which was massive. Andreas the owner was hilarious at breakfast time and was like manuel from faulty towers.

Spiros the bar man kept us entertained every night along with his merry bunch of characters that came and went. This place was like cheers bar. Our many thanks go to Katy the receptionist who sorted our room and our departure time as the Thomson rep was very evasive and gave the impression of not being interested. Katy you are amazing. Helena the cleaner always had a smile and got us to Corfu town safely. Paleokastrista itself is beautiful. Be sure to go to Lakones and the Bella Vista. The views will make your heart melt. The Acapulco bar was a favourite of ours and was a place of paradise.

The Grill house owned by Stravoula who worked in the Paleo was graet value for money and the meals were enormous. Paleo is quiet with not much night life. It is the kind of place were good conversation is had whilst making friends over cocktails. On a negative note and totally separate to our thoughts of the Paleo Inn Thomson you were terrible. No rep on arrival. A Two and a half hour transfere from the airport which was 25 mins tops by taxi. Un-co-operative when room not adaquate and staff at Paleo left to do the Reps work. We will be back to Paleokastrista but unfortunatley the Paleo Inn is under Thomson control and no other tour operator so we will go independantly and visit this wonderful place and it's wonderful staff
