This was my 4th or 5th stay in Kontokali Bay hotel during the last 6 years, but this stay was my 1st one after its extensive renovation. What a wonderful summer hotel ! Although it is a relatively old building, it seems very modern, within a tropical garden. The guest rooms now have a new look, with modern decoration and great views either on the marina of Gouvia or on the sea. The public spaces are very large, with pleasant look inside, and a great view to the pool, gardens and sea. The lobby bar is excellent, as well as the entire reception area.

There are 3 restaurants: one on the first floor for breakfast and buffet style dining, another one for "at fresco" a la cart dining (closed during my stay because of bad weather), and a taverna style on the beach. Breakfast was excellent every day, with an extensive variety of foods, much more above my expectations. The food was excellent also in the dinner, either in quantity or in quality. The private beach of Kontokali Bay hotel is very beautiful, with towels (without charge) and a lot of chairs, umbrellas etc. Finally, the new spa center of the hotel has a big indoor pool, jacuzzi, gym, hammam etc.

. But the most important thing about this hotel is the incredible personal service you have during your entire stay from all the personnel and, especially, from the general manager Mr Y. Ginis who runs everywhere, from the restaurants to the pool, from the lobby to the beach, from early morning until night ! In conclusion, it was a memorable 4-days stay for me and for my family in this wonderful hotel. I will come back in Kontokali Bay Hotel soon...
