We've just returned from a short but very sweet 3 nights at the Delfino Blu which lived up to its TA recommendations. We were in Room 11 and were told it would have a partial seaview. It was on the side of the hotel but in fact had a view right across San Stefano bay - lovely. We both suffer from bad backs and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom had the biggest shower head possible - heaven! For those that like to look after themselves, the room also had 2 cooker rings , full size fridge and various utensils. We also enjoyed watching the activity of the housemartens nesting around the light outside the door, feeding their chicks!

San Stefano beach was great for a walk and shallow for kids. The village had a lot of modern restaurants, mainly away from the waterfront, and we didn't find it very atmospheric. We did however enjoy dinner at The Waves, one of the few restaurants down on the beach, where we had very tasty grilled sardines, a beautifully cooked sea bass and a melt in the mouth beef sofrito (would review it separately but it's not listed in the San Stefano restaurants section!). Easiest way to get there is a less than 5min walk along the beach

Would also recommend Sea Breeze taverna (blue and white front), far end of the beach at next village Arillas, right next to the water, where we had a fish meze for 28 euros for the 2 of us including a whole lobster - fab. We ate our first dinner in the hotel which was 5 courses and very nice, but a set menu with just a few choices each night and we like to get out and about.
A hire car is a must (we used San Stefano car rental via the hotel - friendly and relaxed unlike the usual rental giants) and we went down to Paleokastritsa one day and up to Loggas beach near Sidari another - both stunning coastlines - see attached photos - and and not too busy in early June. Overall our visit was just what the doctor ordered!
