Amid the hustle and bustle of modern travel the pleasure of arriving at the Corfu Palace Hotel is enormous. The reception
is warm and helpful, the hotel is still comfortable although due for some tender loving care to refurbish the rooms after many years of use by its knowing clients

As aregular for the past 24 years I cannot speak too highly of the care and attention we have received from all the hotel staff.
They are well trained, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Bar prices are high but about apr for a 5 star hotel. The pool is clean and poolside loungers and sunshades are available for all guests. The outside restaurant overlooking Garitsa Bay is a delight on a warm summer evening. The pool bar offers relief from the midday sun and a choice of snack or full meals
at lunchtime. The food is high standard with many choices although not always to everyones taste on the table d'hote menu

There is a dress code which some ignorant guests have recently begun to ignore. When we were staying there was a weekly cocktail party and a barbeque, both enjoyable events offering the chance to meet other guests and try a variety of food.
Corfu palace hotel is not really suited to families with young children. Entainment is limited to some Greek dancing on Barbeque night. Otherwise those seeking the bright lights can seek out their desires in the nearby Corfu town. As usual we had relaxing and enjoyable two weeks and look forward to returning next year.
