We thought we'd booked our stay in the Corfu *Holiday* Palace Hotel which is actually down near Mouse Island but were pleasantly surprised to discover that we were staying at the Corfu Palace Hotel right near the old town. (It was a very last minute booking and they are owned by the same chain - Aquis.)

The Cofu Palace Hotel is in a lovely location overlooking the bay and the forts and the old town area is just a stroll away up the hill. Here you can find many restaurants and shops and a large park. The food is superb and the shops sell a wide vriety of goods.

The hotel has wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. The rooms all look out over the bay, have balconies and are large and comfortable. The towels they supply for the (salt water) pool are changed daily and that pool is superb. I would thoroughly recommend a stay here and will be going again! Oh and the breakfast is pretty good too..
