The Corfu Mare is a new and friendly boutique hotel. The staff were great and very polite. The rooms were clean and cleaned every day. The only downside was the bathroom which, was very small and the shower leaked across the bathroom floor. The food menu for the cafe/restaurant was very small which, is not the be all and end all (as there are many local restaurants a stone’s throw away) the breakfast is what you come to expect from Europe. Eggs, bacon, cereals, cold hams and cheeses etc.

The location is not the best, as Corfu Town is over a km away and to walk it could be quite dangerous as there are no well
built pedestrian paths or sufficient lighting when it is dark (walking the main road). Walking during the day could be pleasant if you walked the back way to Corfu town (better and more sufficient paths) but it takes at least 30 - 45Mins.
The big blue buses travel to Corfu town (Kerkyra on a regular basis and are roughly 2 Euros. Getting a taxi back from Corfu town is relatively cheap; we never paid over 8 Euros. Remember to take your insect repellent and bite cream, you will be very lucky if you do not get nibbled on at some point during your holiday in Corfu. I would defenetly reccommend Corfu Mare Hotel
