Stayed here for 2 nights prior to going to visit family in Corfu, and 3 nights at the end of my holiday. I booked everything by
e-mail direct with Cavalieri hotel, and the process was very effiecient and simple. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the town and a couple of miles from the airport. Buses to some of the local beaches and attractions stop nearby the hotel.

My first room was on the 5th floor and was lovely - clean,comfortable and spacious, with a safe, fridge, air conditioning, good views etc. The only thing I didn't like was being constantly woken up by people leaving the rooftop restaurant in the early hours of the morning, scraping chairs and having loud conversations, which unfortunately meant the sound carried rather well - not the hotel's fault, but maybe they could ask guests to leave quietly after midnight.

For the second stay I requested a room on a lower floor to get away from this. The room wasn't as nice - no safe, smaller and no view - but apart from that was perfectly ok. The staff were really helpful with booking taxis etc for me and the receptionists speak good English. Breakfast was an adequate choice of hot and cold items, although I agree with a previous reviewer that the room is soulless and breakfast on the roof terrace would be a nice way to start the day.

It wasn't particularly cheap, but negotiate - there is scope for reductions!! As with any business, if they want your custom, they will drop the price, especially if they are not full. I would use the Cavalieri hotel again as it is so handy to everything.
