Cavalieri Hotel Guest Review | "Comfortable and well-located"

I had never heard of the Hotel Cavalieri and I didn't really know exactly where Corfu, Greece was until my husband became extremely ill while we were on a Mediterranean cruise. He had to be taken off the ship and ended up in the public hospital in Corfu Town. (that's another story for another time...) The ship's agent booked me into the Cavalieri and it became my oasis during a most difficult time. I have only positive things to say about the staff and the hotel. The staff was very kind and helpful to me..espec. Stellios. I had no idea when I was going to be checking out and he kept extending my time there and it was one less thing to worry about. Also, I thought the room rate was most reasonable.

Cavalieri hotel was comfortable and well-located. You can walk to the waterfront and to the shops and restaurants in the area. My son flew in from the States. He travels all over the US and Europe and said the hotel had the best WI-FI he had ever used in a hotel situation...plus it is free. We ate most nights at the roof top restaurant...such beautiful views of the landmarks around there. The food was fine and I especially enjoyed a big glass of the local red wine after being at the hospital all day. The wait staff was nice..especially Nicos, who was a delight. The free breakfast was very good..and the dining room was attractive and had plenty of tables

My room on the 3rd floor was spacious and clean and I had a lovely view of the waterfront from the window. It was truly an oasis for my son and myself. There are a myriad of restaurants in the area plus a really nice jewelry shop a few doors down from the hotel which is all hand-made by the owner. There is also an ATM a couple of blocks away..next to McDonald's.

Old Town Corfu was lovely with the wrought iron balconies with bouganvilla hanging down and all the historic sites within walking distance. It goes back to Roman times. I wish I could have visited it under better conditions. If I were ever to return to Corfu Town you can "bet your bottom dollar" I would stay again at the Hotel Cavalieri

Please don't ever travel without travel insurance. You probably won't need it but if you do you will be so thankful you have it!!! My travel insurance company was great...kept in touch with me and were very helpful.
The same goes for the Princess Cruise Lines..they called me about every day from London to see how we were doing. Happily we are back in the US and my husband is fully recovered. As they say, "all's well that ends well"
