Capo di Corfu Guest Review | "A truly relaxing holiday resort"
We visited Capo di Corfu hotel this summer for two weeks. The rooms have been recently renovated, and are very modern, with plasma TV's and DVD players, so don't forget to pack a few DVDs for the kids to get out of the sun. The rooms were cleaned daily, to a very high standard. Rooms all have their own verandas and tables, with clothes airer. The rooms are all air conditioned, and include safes (4euros per day charge). Beach towels are included and can be changed daily by the pool |
Capo di Corfu hotel is French owned, and is a little gem, with not too many rooms, so a high level of staff, all who speak perfect English. There are plenty of sunbeds, so there is no fights needed to get yourself a place in the sun, with plenty of sun sunshades. A tennis court can be booked, and is of a good standard. There are kids clubs, which the younger kids enjoyed, plus clubs for older children if they so wish. We found that the staff were more than happy for older kids to join in with the French children, even if we hadn't booked them into the clubs for the whole day. |
Food was great. It caters for all, whatever your age, ranging from fresh fruit of all descriptions, to cooked or savoury breakfast. Lunch and evening meals are a buffet style with a huge selection of fresh fish, meats and salads for lunch and evening meals. All soft drinks and local beers and spirits are served all day until 11pm - the beauty of this resort was you didn't get the typical British holidaymakers who abused the all inclusive nature of the hotel...which was exactly what we were after. This is an all inclusive for the more discerning and grown up clientele who does want the beer swilling abusers of all inclusive! |
Staff were fantastic. The pools were cleaned daily and were beautiful. The views from the beach of mainland Greece are stunning both in the evenings and at night. Watersports are not provided by the hotel but are on the beach and include jet bikes, kayaks/canoes, pedaloes and windsurfing. These are not cheap, but it is the only thing you will need to pay for as you will want for little else. The beach runs for a considerable distance along the coast and is never crowded with little in the way of other hotels on the beech front. |
We took the Blue Lagoon boat trip which visits the mainland Greece, various caves and the blue lagoon, and enables lots of opportunities for swimming off the boat. Paxos and AntiPaxos trip was good but not great if you have young children or suffer from sea sickness, as the trip takes 2 hours to reach its destination. Families who went to aqualand waterpark, said this was a great value day out for children of all ages. This is a fantastic hotel, with great facilities, great rooms, great service, friendly staff. If you want a relaxing Greek holiday without the hussle and bussle and no sad Brits abroad, then look no further - this is a real gem!! One tip, taxis are 65 euros if you pay at the airport and through the hotel for your return journey. Do not book online as we were charged 110 euros for our trip from the airport to the Capo di Corfu hotel in Kavos. |
