Capo di Corfu Guest Review | "Perfect place to relax in Corfu"

The first place we have ever been where the pics were not as good as the actual location. Where do I start, well I guess the beginning is as good as anywhere. We arrived early in the morning of the 27th of July after the last flight out of Manchester the night before, so strictly speaking we should not have had our room until 3.00 pm that day, this did not seem to matter that much and by the time we had our breakfast and a quick stroll around to see what was there, our room was ready for us.
This really set the standard for everything at the Aquis Capo di Corfu hotel, in that nothing was too much trouble, the staff are totally focussed on delivering the best holiday experience they can.

My wife and I like to do a lot of walking, however I gained an injury on the flight in, which meant the only place I could go was the hotel grounds, so for once we saw pretty much everything the hotel had to offer. Firstly there are a lot of French people who holiday here, not surprising as a French company owns 50% of the hotel. There were quite a few different nationalities who were holidaying at the hotel when we were there, and certainly all the people we spoke to were good people.

The amount of sunloungers seemed to far outnumber the number of people there and you have a choice of poolside, or beach for chillin out, trust me, both were great. We, as I guess most other people who were there were on "all inclusive" and certainly with the people at this hotel it seemed to work well. Mealwise, we had no complaints, however some people were unhappy. For me, you are going on holiday to Greece, not Blackpool, if you want egg and chips morning noon and night, then don't go to foreign countries, dead easy.

My wife is quite choosy as regards food, but she was very happy with the choice we had, it was well cooked, well presented, no worries. I have seen one or two moans about staff being "surly", never saw any like that myself and that was despite the restaraunt looking like a human M25 on some mealtimes. All the staff we dealt with at mealtimes were superb, all very pretty girls and good looking lads, but they were all very good at their jobs, especially Emi who nearly always served my wife and I. Barstaff like-wise were very good, always a nice smile and a good suggestion for a drink. The layout of the place is very good as all the rooms are in little "cottage" style buildings of perhaps 8 rooms or so.

Because of this, the Aquis Capo di Corfu hotel site looks like a small village and only adds to the experience of the holiday in a positive way. Most of the walkways are lines with attractive plants and bushes and olive trees, most of which had olives on them throughout the week we were there. If you have children, then there is no issue there either, there is plenty for them to do, with kids clubs and water slides and competitions run by the animation team who work very hard and do a fantastic job. Night-life is a bit quiet, but the animation team do put on shows in the theatre and there are a couple of bars.

There is life outside Capo di Corfu complex and there are one or two bars local, but if you are on all inclusive, there is not much point in going to them really. As I say, I was in a state where I could not walk more than about a 100 yards at a go, so going off the complex was a bit of a non-starter anyway. What is worth me saying at this point is that for a number of years my wife and I have had our holidays by cruising and we have become used to the standards of service we have had on those holidays, this hotel is the first we have visited which has managed to match those standards. Now before anyone thinks "snobby so and so" snobs we are not, we just believe that when you pay your money, you should be treated as per the advertisments say, and not led down a path of broken promises and sub-standard service. We would both like to revisit This hotel again, hopefully without me being a injured party. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday with a fantastic setting, in great rooms, with good food and drink, and a marvellous staff, then this is the place to go.......If you don't, then go elsewhere
