Capo di Corfu Hotel Guest Review
"Very enjoyable hotel with excellent service"
We arrived on April 26th. Which was only the 2nd day that the hotel had been opened after change of ownership and a renovation. The Aquis Capo di Corfu hotel itself is located right on the beach with breath taking views of mainland Greece in the background. The beach is private to the hotel guests. Everything is new including parasols, sun loungers on the beach and around the pool area. Beach towels are provided. |
All rooms have a flat screen tv with satallite TV. Although the only English channels they had were Sky News and BBC World News. Towels are provided and so is a hair dryer. In the cupboard there is a safe that you can configure with your own combination. There is also a fridge available. For families there is an upstairs that provides two single beds as well as a double bed downstairs. Rooms are seperated from the main hotel building and are setup in different blocks, over looking the gardens of the hotel. The block we stayed in (Room 901) was close to the main road and right next door to the cleaner's office, which both provided some noise in the early morning |
All staff were very friendly and helpful. Including reception, catering and behind the two bars. One by the pool and one upstairs in the main building. Majority of the staff can speak good english. Food - All inclusive provides food and drink. Food comes in the form of a buffet and is served for Breakfast (7am - 10pm), Lunch (12.30pm - 2.30pm?), Snacks were provided at the bar in the afternoon at about 4pm. This included sausage rolls and cakes. Then dinner was served from 6.30pm until 9.30pm? The food was very nice and there was plenty to choose from. However, some of the hot food was cold and needed putting into the microwave that is provided. There is an additional a la carte restaurant called The Olive Tree. When we went, we were allowed one free visit a week. The food was ok, but we wouldn't have paid. |
Drinks - All soft drinks, tea, coffee, juices are included. Draft beer, house wine (red & white), some liquors, spirits and cocktails (both alcoholic and non alcoholic) were also provided up until 11pm. Afterwards you have to pay which are quite pricey (Corfu is as a whole). There are other drinks available including cocktails that you also have to pay for. |
Entertainment - There was an enternainment group that prompts you to play games such as french boules, volleyball, badmington and tennis, aqua aerobics. There are pedlows on the beach that are free for half an hour. You can hire out jet ski's. There are a few kid's water slides that are behind the bar, away from the main pool.
There is a theatre in the evening, where the French entertainers provide shows such as dancing and comedy sketches. Although the majority is in French. Location - It is located near Lefkimi. Which is about 50 mins - 1 hour away from the airport. However, if your holiday package includes a transfer, make sure you take it as taxi's are very expensive. It costs 60 - 70 euros from the airport. The hotel is about a 30 minute walk to Kavos. |
