We have just returned from a two week stay at Bella Vista Hotel and we had a fantastic time!!! The room we stayed in was large and exceptionally clean with fridge, TV, and shower room - we also had a balcony which looked out on to the sea and from the window in the bathroom we had a fantastic view of the mountains. The air conditioning which is included in the price was a joy!!! Our room was at the front of the hotel and got the sun in the morning - however if you prefer to relax on your balcony in the afternoon/evening then you will get more sun at the rear of the building and have a fab view of the mountains - if you are planning on going to Corfu make sure you take some plug inns to avoid being bitten by the mozzies!!!

The breakfast in the morning was great - plenty of choice and the ham and cheese toasties filled you up for the day! Anthea and the girls were fab!! extremely pleasant and friendly they will tell you about places to eat and visit - a must to eat at is KLIMATARIA meaning Grape Vine which is in the main square - we ate here on the last night but wished we had gone there earlier as the food was fabulous!!! If you want a cheap and tasty meal try the small kebab shop, its up a small side road in the village sqaure and does fab tasty fresh kebabs!! And if your looking for a nice place to enjoy a drink and chill out go to the sunshine bar also in the village - very nice atmosphere and they play some great music.

All in all we had a great time in Corfu - one of the reviews states that the area is a little run down - by no means does this mean it is dirty or anything like that - just some of the shops/bars have shut down and not re-opened - if you are looking for nightlife then Benitses is not the best place to go - and also if you are going for two weeks hire a car and explore the island there are some fab beaches down on the south west coast especially nice is Santa Barbara and Marathias!

If we were to return to Corfu again I would not hesitate to stay at Bella Vista again and would definately recommend it to others its fantastic value for money!! I recommend Bella Vista hotel for Older travelers, Families with young children, Tourists
