We have also just returned for the Aquis Agios Gordios Hotel and feel we would like to balance some recent comments.

1. The Hotel is in a fab setting, the beautiful views and sunsets can be seen from all four bars, all three restaurants, all sea view rooms and even the road walking up to the hotel.
2. We felt all the public areas of the hotel we very clean and well deorated, indeed superior to some 5* resorts we have stayed in in Europe. We did not use the gym or spa facilities, so we are unable to comment.
3. The staff here are one of the main draws everyone of them from reception, to waiting staff, to porters and cleaners seemed genuinally happy and worked extremely hard. They even stopped to chat when we saw them in the village on their day off.

4. Food is a difficlut on to win in the all inclusive game, but we feel this hotel tries very hard to provide a varied, colourful, and tasty selection.
5. With regards to other guests being positively hostile, this is just how it is, it is nothing personal , they did not acknowlegde our good mornings either. There are other comments about people reserving sunbeds, but again, it's just how it is, there are enough signs everywhere asking guests not to do it. You cannot decide whether to book a hotel based on previous guests behavour.

6. The variety of drinks is plentiful, the local wine is good, coke, sprite and tango all available, and the local brand spirits
taste the smae once the mixers is added. If you want to drink a particular brand then it is priced the same at the hotel as it is down the beach. We booked our week direct with the hotel and for 1390Euro we had a clean, spacious sea view suite, three very tasty meals a day, enough wine and cocktails to satisfy anyone. The Agios Gordios village is a short 15 min stroll up and down a few minor inclines or a wonderful 15 min walk a long the beach best some local bars.
Overall the Aquis Agios Gordios Beach hotel in Corfu standard is high and we felt it was excellent value for money.
