Lemon Grove Hotel Reviews - Travelers Advice on Hotel Lemon-Grove in Corfu
The Lemon Grove Hotel Apartments surrounded by colourful gardens and is furnished in a typically simple Greek style. From its
location, 500 meters from the resort center, this property is in a great position for enjoying all the nightlife and excitement Kavos Corfu provides. The nearest sandy beach area is just 200 meters away and connects with the lesser frequented 'St Peters' beach

Re: lovely and clean Hotel and friendly staff

when we read the reviews we didnt really know what to expect but to be fair the brouchure does the hotel no justice. Lemon Grove hotel was lovely and clean the staff were lovely and friendly. yer the rooms were basic but what does that matter its not like ya living in the rooms. shower is a nightmare but its funny especially when the foam starts coming back up the drain in the middle of the floor. it didnt smell as bad a every 1 made out but the have a crap sewage system compared to uk. your right on the beach as well which was great. yer u did pay 2 euros for the sunbeds but never mind u dnt have to sit on them. nightlife is brilliant. couldnt fault the holiday at all. beware you do get bitten!! would go back again loved it and didnt want to come home. food nice bit gutted we were b n b and only got toast and oj but food reasonable price. you have to go to tkds- lovely australian restuarnt. and mac d dnt do breakfast so not point walking along the strip it aint open.

We stayed at the Lemon Grove Apartments which is about an hour and a half away from the airport and the main town. Four of us went so we stayed 2 to a studio. First imprssions were that it was a bit small but you don't spend much time there apart from sleeping and getting ready. The only thing to complain about was the shower facility. It's basically a small square that you stand in... girls it's so hard to shave your legs!! You don't get a a glass screen or shower curtain so water goes everywhere which means that you're practically breaking your neck when you get out!! No joke! We had to keep asking the maids for towels to put down. And the shower gets blocked, and then overflows all over the floor, so if you're getting ready at the same time leave it about half an hour after each other! We asked why it happens and it's because the drainage in Corfu is rubbish! Don't flush your toilet roll unless you want a fine for blocking the pipes...one of our girls had an upset stomach constantly and got told about flushing toilet roll. Other than that accommodation was absolutley fine. Lemon Grove pool is lovely and so is the beach, you have to pay €2 for the beds which I recommmend you get unless you want kittens standing all over you!! There are cats all over Corfu. We didn't really think much of the restaurant on site, was a bit expensive for what you got and watch the waiter that works at night... he's a bit pervy and was nearly drooling over me and my mates whilst we were eating!! Lemon Grove Hotel & Apartments is really nicely placed on the strip.

Re: Perfect location!

The Lemon Grove is situated in the perfect location. At one end of the strip, set just back from the main road, its away from all the noise, but within easy walking distance of everything. We didn't notice any unpleasent smell as I read in reviews before I went away. The food served at the Lemon Grove Apartments is stingy for the price. The 'breakfast' included in our B&B bpard consisted of tea or fresh orange, 2 pieces of toast, 1 sachet of butter and 1 sachet of jam. It was served until 11am though. Pool was cleaned evey night. The staff were every helpful, especially Spearos and the security guard. Definately rent a fan, 2 Euros a night is WELL worth it as no rooms have a/c. The watersports place on the beach is great. Safe and reasonably priced.

Re: Corfu it is such a beautiful place compared to Kavos !

After a very long awaited holiday we arrived in Kavos at 7.30am. We were very tired after a long night flight & just wanted to get to our room. We were shown up to our apartment & once in just crashed out. After a couple of hours sleep we woke & had a good nosey round; the sleeping area had 3 single beds, a double wardrobe, 2 beside cabinets with ample storage space & a dressing table, mirror & a couple of chairs, so that was impressive however the kitchen was so small you couldn’t fit two of you in it at the same time! It had a few pots & pans, fridge, kettle & a small 2 ringed cooker but to be honest we only needed the fridge & kettle so not too bothered on that score. The bathroom wasn’t much bigger but served its purpose. The balcony was huge; we were on the end so we had double what everyone else had. We only ate once in the hotel, that was a breakfast which really wasn’t anything to shout about & was swimming in cooking oil. The beach isn’t very clean in Kavos & the area smells of sewage, we actually found a sewage pipe from our hotel going into the sea. Kavos is definitely for the young ones. Don’t get me wrong I’m not old at 39 & I definitely had a couple of nights in the bars & clubs down the main road. We hired a quad bike for the day & went miles round Corfu it is such a beautiful place compared to Kavos. The boat trips to the blue lagoon were excellent & trips into Corfu town. The best place we found to eat in Kavos was Sizzlers & Penny's kitchen & for drinks after we tended to stay in the Face bar & watch the shows they had on.All in all I would definitely go back to Corfu & stay in another area, probably just visit Kavos for one night out.
