This is a wonderful hotel and we would definitely return. It really did feel like a slice of paradise. Our room had a view of the bay which made a drink on the balcony feel like we were somewhere very special. The pool is one of the best I have experienced and was never overcrowded. Even though the hotel was full during our stay there was no rush in the mornings for sunloungers. The meals were basic but we always looked forward to them and there is a large range of choice.

The standard rooms although basic have everything that one needs including a television and dvd player with the possible exception of a hair dryer. Use of the fridge is an additional €3 per day but our deal included air conditioning which otherwise would have cost €7 per day. Yes, there is a steep hill to be negotiated when walking to a from the hotel but the beauty of the Panokrator is that it is perfectly self contained. There is not much in the vicinity of Pantokrator hotel with respect to restaurants or nightlife so we spent most nights at the beautiful hotel bar over looking the bay. Alcohol was much cheaper than the UK with a glass of wine costing €1.50 and a pint of beer costing €2.50
