Have just spent 4 nights in Pantokrator with my 13 year old son and we both loved it, can not believe how good it was for the price we paid. Had a standard twin seaview room, which had a huge double bed and a single as well, and a table and 3 chairs on the balcony, so guess we were lucky and it was probably a family room. The room was clean, as was the bathroom and we had no problems with smells. The views from the balcony and pool area are just stunning.

The main areas of Pantokrator hotel are very stylish, we particularly liked the outdoor lounging areas set on the terraced l
awn at the side of the bar. We were on half board and found the food to be of a good standard, with plenty of choice. The pool bar did great snacks and ice creams at reasonable prices and the girls working there were very pleasant. As previous posters have said the guy on reception was very helpful. Yes its quite steep but its not a long walk up from the road and we knew that before we went so it wasn't a problem and there is the little minibus to help you with your luggage when you arrive and depart. They even offered to send it down to meet us off the bus when we arrived from Corfu Town

We enjoyed just lazing round the pool but the highlight of our stay was hiring a boat for the day and going up the coast stopping at all the little coves along the way. Barbati itself is not huge although it has a long beach, if you turn left along the main road and walk for about 10 minutes you will come to steps down to a little cove which was almost deserted and had good snorkelling. Make sure to stop at Agathi Bar for a drink on your way up from the beach, great milkshakes!. The Greek Night in the bar was enjoyable with a display of folk dancing but the evenings were very low key which suited us, not many English guests but my son mananged to make friends both in the pool and at the pool table. Would highly recommend it.
