Just returned from the Pantokrator Hotel after staying for a week and wish we were still there.
Arrived early on the morning of the 3rd September and were shown to our luxury room, which was quality - huge king-size bed, nice bathroom etc and the view was fantastic. I'd recommend that if you have some spare cash go for a luxury room - your on holiday to treat yourself aren't you??!! To reach the Pantokrator hotel you have to walk two fairly steep inclines, which are testing in the middle of the day, but between midday and 6pm the hotel operates a small hourly van/bus who will take you up and down for free, but if you walk you can hit the pool then get busy with a cheap local beer!

In the morning breakfast was the usual continental type, plenty of tea/coffee etc.
The evening meals were really good; plenty of variety (pork, lamb, beef, pasta, salads etc) and decent deserts. We found that if you like a glass or two of wine with your meals that a carafe of local wine is much cheaper than getting it by the glass, plus if you haven’t finished it during your meal you can always take it to the bar upstairs and enjoy the view! If you don’t want to eat at the restaurant then there are a few restaurants down in the main area of Barbati.

If your beach lovers like my gf and me then the beach at Barbati is for you - its crystal clear and super clean! I snorkelled for much of the time as there is plenty to see if you don’t just want to be sunbathing! We went to the beach everyday and loved every minute. Again the beach is reached by another steep walk, but doesn’t take long to get to at all.
The only downside to this Corfu holiday was the wasps, but what can you do about that? Also, if you have walking difficulties I’d imagine you would find this place quite a struggle to get around. Other than that, this holiday was unreal for what we paid for it and I’d definitely recommend the hotel and the resort.
