Nissaki Beach Hotel, Corfu | "Hotel with Lovely Views"
I'm 15 years old and went to Nissaki Beach Hotelwith my parents for a week by Palmair. We went on a half board basis.
I recommend going half board as you get a better choice of wine and glasses by the pool bar not plastic cups. The hotel is a good size and has one buffet restaurant and two bars, one poolside and the other by reception. There is two swimming pools, which arnt that big, due to probably because of where the hotel is. But it never got to crowded. There are two shops one selling souvenirs and postcards and the other selling beach stuff and essentials like toothpaste |
We had a double bed and a single bed in our room, the room was a bit small though. It had a TV and minibar (charges apply). Ask when you book for a sea view it is lovely, we overlooked the swimming pool and the beach.(we could even see Albania and mainland Greece). There are two bars selling all kinds of drinks, if you go to the main bar between 6-7pm its happy hour and you buy one get one free. The food was lovely with a wide range of selection from all over the world, including swordfish, pasta and chips. Once a week there is an Italian night and a posh Greek night. The waiters are very friendly. |
The day time activities run between 10am-1pm and then again at 3-5pm. The activites include Archery, waterpolo and beach volleyball also darts and many more. Some nights the entertainment was a but amateurish, but they tried their best. Other nights included professional dancers and a fakia show. The entertainment staff were very nice. (Jan was very good). If you win an activity you get a diploma, which is very nice. The problem with the beach was that it was very pebbly, i recommend to buy some beach shoes from the shop, but the sea is very clear and you can see plenty of fish. |
Dad and I hired a peddalo for an hour (10euros) and I also went on the ringos (10euros) it was great fun, if you like sports i recommend you to try it. We went out for a meal to the next bay (Agni bay) to taverna Nikolas it was very friendly. You can get there by boat, taxi or walk. Were lovely thanks to Harris and the waiter with him (sorry didint know his name), in the restaurant. Thanese in the main bar and Dale and Jan for the entertainment. The wasp during the day time if you are eating or drinking near the pool. They are a pain but the staff are trying to get rid of them but were losing an impossible battle. |
