Aquis Agios Gordios hotel really does live up to the high expectations we had before arriving! We have never gone all-inclusive before & I am vegetarian so was a little anxious. We booked for one week in may 2009 for our honeymoon & got a great deal too! We booked back in February & I emailed the hotel direct before booking, to ensure all the work would be finished as we knew it had been taken over & was having a big renovation. They got straight back to me & assured me, so we had no worries from then on. On arrival, we had a bottle of chilled fizz, beautiful flowers, & a fruit platter in our room, which the hotel had arranged as a surprise as we were on honeymoon.

A really lovely touch, which I'm sure you wouldn't get just anywhere. The view from our balcony was breath-taking & bought a tear to my eye! The room was absolutely stunning, extremely clean & well decorated etc. The hotel itself is very quiet & although we were one of the youngest couples there (mid-20's), we anticipated this when booking & is exactly why we booked for our honeymoon as we just wanted a quiet week to relax! It was perfect.
Every member of staff we came across was friendly & cheery, and really couldn't do enough for you. The all-inclusive package was fab, and the food was homemade & really delicious, there was a large selection for the 3 meals a day (even for a vegetarian!) & we didn't experience any queuing at mealtimes, even though the hotel was busy

All the food was always hot when we visited, and the staff were constantly bringing more out of anything running low. Drinks at both the lobby & pool bar was excellent too, with a large variety. I cannot understand why anyone would complain about not having tea/coffee in rooms - it is so easily available throughout the hotel! Take a travel kettle if it means that much......!
The evening entertainment was great, light-hearted & not too 'cheesy' is you know what I mean! The entertainment team were really good. The gym was fantastic & the guy there very helpful & attentive too.
There are steps down to the beach, but you can see from the photo of the hotel that it is set it steep mountain area, & it also does say on their website & with most tour operators.

We had the most perfect honeymoon, with truly no negatives at all! We have stayed in various 5* resorts before with business & this one definately deserves it's rating in our opinion. We have already recommended to others & my parents have booked for october! The best bits were the gorgeous food, the stunning views & sunsets, and the hotel & staff themselves - all in all a perfect week!!
We are looking forward to returning next May for our 1st wedding anniversary in Corfu :))
