Stayed at the Agios Gordios hotel in September. Which ever way you leave the hotel you have to get back up the hill to the hotel wether by steps from the beach or road up a hill, does make you think twice about leaving the hotel but you do get used to it. Hotel staff are very friendly. Thomson reps are excellent and do their most to help you enjoy your stay. Wonderful walks from the hotel with breathtaking views at the end of them. Food excellent, a la carte a bit dissapointing, but it was free! Beach and sea excellent but sea can shelve quickly in places, so be careful and choose your spot

Did not go in swimming pool looked too cold. Sorry to hear hotel is dropping the Thomson Gold category which means there will be children staying there in the future. Nothing against children, but I do not feel the hotel is a suitably safe place for them, there is no where for them to play except the beach and many places for them to fall and hurt themselves. If you are planning to take children then you are braver than I am. There are many bars and restarants all within a short walk of the hotel, would love to go back, but not if there is children there.
