Just returned from a week at this hotel which was very relaxing and enjoyable. The locationof the hotel,overlooking the bay at Agios Gordios,is both a positive and a negative feature. The views over the bay from all the rooms and public areas are stunning and the evening sunsets are superb. Access to the hotel would be a problem for guests with mobility difficulties due to the number of steps and steep inclines. Access for coaches is something the management needs to address. An early evening excursion to Corfu Town was delayed for over an hour as the approach road was gridlocked and on our return we had to get off the coach and walk up the steep road ("cardiac road") to get back to the Aquis Agios Gordios hotel.

Much money has been spent refurbishing the hotel and the rooms are spacious and well appointed. As we were there the week before the season started some of the public areas were still being prepared and not open. This meant that as the week went on and the hotel filled up the main lounge and bar area became very crowded but this should be better when all the facilities are open. Staff at this hotel were superb in all areas and it would be unfair to single out any individual but, as in the last reviews, Anneta on reception does deserve a special thanks. The all inclusive package was excellent. Food was of a consistently high standard with great variety and the pastry chef is to be congratulated on his desserts

All meals in the main restaurant are buffet but an outside terrace enables you to eat away from the food and makes the dining experience more special. Staff are meticulous in the way the tables are laid and cleared with immculate white linen and gleaming glasses and cutlery. Wine is served by the carafe and again the restaurant staff could not have been better and always provided service with a smile.We dined in the A la Carte restaurant one evening (The Olive Tree) and found that of a high standard. Overall a very enjoyable holiday in a hotel where the staff are working hard to provide an excellent service at all times.We also had the good fortune to meet up with a wonderful set of guests who made the holiday for us
