We had excellent service throughout our stay which we started with our first night. We got to Aquis Agios Gordios hotel at 10 p.m. and the manager had booked us in at the Olive Tree restaurant because the buffet restaurant closed at 9.30. We went to our rooms and unpacked thinking the restaurant was open until 11 p.m. so we got down there about 10.30 and asked for a table. What we did not know was that they closed at 10 p.m but they still cheerfully found us a table and cooked for us even though they had just about cleared up! The rooms are spacious and fully deserve their 4 star status with a queen size bed, LCD TV & DVD player. There is also a fridge for you with a great view of the sea from the room. The staff gave us a bottle of sparkling wine & a bowl of fruit on the Saturday as it was our wedding anniversary.

There is a small pool with ample sunbeds although you have to get down there by 9 a.m if you want one as the usual problem of reserving sunbeds with towels is here even though there are signs prohibiting this. There is a steep walk down to the beach via more steps and this is also the best way to go to the village rather than out of the main doors at Aquis Agios Gordios Beach hotel as it is quicker and saves your legs!

The food was excellent during our stay and it must be just about impossible to be hungry whilst you are there as breakfast is 7 - 10, lunch 12.30 - 3.30, tea & cakes (by the pool) 4 - 6 and dinner 6.30 - 9.30. It is an all inclusive hotel with drinks available either at the main bar in the hotel or the pool bar from 10 a.m - 11 p.m or at the bar by the beach from 10-6 p.m. At night if you are in the main bar there are two waitresses on so instead of going to the bar you just call them over and order your drinks and they bring them over to you at no extra charge. At the pool bar there is plenty of water available and you help yourself to ice cream any time you like by serving yourself out of the tubs provided with there being about four different flavours

I noticed that other people have complained about the wasps and there does to be quite a few although there is nothing the hotel can do about this - we believe it is because there are a lot of flowers and trees about the hotel especially around the pool area. We did not find them to be such a problem as they seem to be not as aggressive as the ones over here - they just to fly about and go away and I did not hear of anybody being stung whilst we were there. So great rooms, excellent service and a fantastic view - definately recommended
