After researching web sites for information on the hotel and resort, we were a little concerned that our hotel would be (as one reviewer called it, shabby). But on arrival, I can only assume that this person was bonkers. Aquis Agios Gordios hotel was immaculate, the service faultless and the food outstanding.Aghios Gordios itself was stunningly beautiful, especially from the cliff top road that led you down to the town itself. Little shops and tavernas dot the roads that lead down to the beach. Aghios Gordios seems to have found a comfortable balance between peace and relaxation, and being entertained.

The choice is there for you whatever you wish to do.Of the excursions from the hotel, we undertook three trips.
The first was to Sivota via Theo's boat. I recommend this to everyone. It was fun, peaceful, entertaining and moving - what more could you ask for in one trip?Our second trip to Albania was 'an experience'. I know some people on the trip seemed to have enjoyed it but personally I ended the day feeling that I had escaped from prison! Albania is beautiful. The ruins that we visited were fascinating, and learning about the country and it's troubles was moving. But, being escorted every second leaves you feeling oppressed and desperate to escape some invisable shackles. It was a great relief to step back onto Greek land.Out third outing was the Greek night. Lots of drink. Brilliant entertainment. Good food. Be prepared to be elbow to elbow at the table!Overall our holiday was fantastic. I even cried when we left!
