For a romantic holiday in Corfu island - this is the place to go. On arrival they had booked us into a Junior suite which was away from the main hotel. A little walk but nice and quiet. The views of the sunset are amazing from both the lobby veranda and the restaurant on the floor above, which ran the length of the building - we watched the sun go down every night as we ate and the views were spectacular. The food was great and lots to choose from even if you are a veggie or a bit fussy - beer on draught and wine at lunch/dinner are self service, we used to fill the carafe and then take it up to the Lobby bar to save queuing later. There is a waitress service at no extra charge also in the Lobby bar. Entertainment is acceptable in the evenings but don't make it your focus!

There is a daytime entertainment couple who are lovely and do their best to get you involved in water aerobics and 'crazy killer darts' but we just ignored it all and sunbathed. They run a karaoke night on the top floor bar which can be fun. There is a beach bar which serves free drinks until 6pm and it is lovely to sit down there and watch the sun over the water. Other bars are free on the all inclusive until 11pm only. The beach itself is a disappointment - don't expect sand, it is little pebbles in most places. There is a lot of seaweed too, which you have to walk further down the beach to avoid. One day was choppy and it nearly pulled us out to sea so watch yourself ( great fun though!) Sunbeds ( some of them doubles for couples) are free by the pool but €7.00 on the beach per couple per day with umbrella.

You have to get up before 9am to get your towels on the pool sun loungers - of course this is forbidden but EVERYBODY does it then goes off for breakfast or back to bed! The best thing about this was no children. The pool is nice to swim in. The small town is about 15 mins walk away but we didn't bother so if you want a holiday to just laze around and spend time with your loved one this is the hotel for you - that is if you survive the crazy taxi driver in the 20 minute trip from the airport!!! We loved our holiday and have told all our friends to visit.
