Originally built in 1860, Villa Rossi is a beautifully restored country house located in a rural area on the edge of the award winning picturesque village of Gastouri. Once the home of the owners Great Grandmother ‘Rossi’ from Scotland who married a local Corfiot, it has now been lovingly restored and furnished to a very high standard after standing derelict for many years. Through the private electric gates and along the sweeping drive you can only be impressed as you arrive. The tropical gardens are simply stunning with lawns across to the large pool and sunbathing areas with high quality sun loungers and garden furniture. Villa Rossi itself has four bedrooms and sleeps up to eight guests comfortably. Beautiful views of Corfu Town and the mountain villages can be enjoyed from the enormous covered veranda.

Beautiful well tendered gardens giving the feel of a tropical haven with an abundance of colour are especially enchanting in the evening when the gardens and trees are flood lit. There are plenty of good quality Sun loungers and parasols, Garden furniture for alfresco dining and barbecue. There is an immaculate shingle beach just less than ten minutes drive away, and a further two mins is the picturesque beach resort of Benitses. For the sandy beaches a drive of ten-fifteen minutes will take you to Agios Gordios and Pelekas on the West Coast of Corfu island.

Gastouri village (winner of the ‘Most Picturesque Village in Greece’ Award) is also home to the Achilleion Palace where James Bond was filmed. The village has a choice of traditional Tavernas, cafe-bars, a mini market and gift shops. Not to be missed is the local bakery where Hector still bakes his bread in the traditional Olive Wood oven! The lovely resort of Benitses with its new Marina also has a fantastic choice of restaurants, cafe-bars and shops and is within an easy 5-10 minute drive.
